Homes by Dickerson Receives Perfect Scores and 7 Awards at the 2015 Parade of Homes!

The excitement was certainly building at this years 2015 Parade of Homes Awards! Homes by Dickerson entered 10 homes this year into the Parade, our largest participation to date. 7 entries for the Wake County Parade and 3 in the Durham, Orange and Chatham Parade happening over the first three weekends of October.

Our team spends countless hours working thru the design details and elements and inspirations for each home. The team of project managers, superintendents and designers pour their blood, sweat and tears into making their homes memorable and stand out in a way that matches Homes by Dickerson’s understated elegance and our drive to always be better. Homes by Dickerson receives a Perfect Score at the Parade of Homes

Just before the emcees announced the winners for one of our categories, you could look around the Dickerson tables and see a range of emotions from the team members. Some were playing it cool, knowing that we had done everything possible and could not change the outcome at this point. Some had white knuckle grips on the table, crossing fingers and toes in obedience to the rules of superstition. Some were just trying to remember to breathe. Seconds later we heard the name of our St. James Parade Home and not just that it had won the GOLD Award in that category but that it was the only home of the evening to receive a Perfect Score! Our President sat stunned for a moment with something close to disbelief on his face. Not because he didn’t think we could do it or didn’t deserve it but rather he was in awe due to the amazing competition we had gone up against…

Last night over 700 talented and hardworking builders came together in a size and temperature-challenged ballroom to celebrate the Wake County Home Builder’s Association’s 49th Annual Parade of Homes Awards Banquet. For months, all of these men and women have planned, cleared land, built, cleaned, decorated and spruced up their Parade Homes in hopes of earning the coveted Gold, Silver or Bronze banners they can hang outside their homes. Congratulations to all of the winners from last night and to all of the entrants-we know how hard each of you worked!

First weekend of Parade of Homes a success!

Beautiful weather and throngs of people made for a great first weekend of the 49th annual Parade of Homes! Over 1400 people came through our 8 stunning Parade Homes this past Saturday and Sunday. The homes had been polished and shined and received rave reviews from Realtors, Builders and the General Public.
