Homes by Dickerson Receives Perfect Scores and 7 Awards at the 2015 Parade of Homes!

The excitement was certainly building at this years 2015 Parade of Homes Awards! Homes by Dickerson entered 10 homes this year into the Parade, our largest participation to date.  7 entries for the Wake County Parade and 3 in the Durham, Orange and Chatham Parade happening over the first three weekends of October.

Our team spends countless hours working thru the design details and elements and inspirations for each home.  The team of project managers, superintendents and designers pour their blood, sweat and tears into making their homes memorable and stand out in a way that matches Homes by Dickerson’s understated elegance and our drive to always be better. You can check out our Design Series blogs that highlight the designers perspectives on selections for each of the homes for an insiders look.  There are so many great features in all of these homes- here is a snapshot of a few but be sure to see them for yourself or click on the virtual tours below.

Miracle Green Home in the Parade of Homes

Miracle Green Home in the Parade of Homes

HOMES BY DICKERSON PRESENTS THE 2012 MIRACLE GREEN HOME,

A BENEFIT FOR THE MIX 101.5 RADIOTHON FOR

DUKE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL & HEALTH CENTER,

IN THE WAKE COUNTY PARADE OF HOMES THIS OCTOBER

RALEIGH, NC – Homes By Dickerson proudly announces the Sept. 30 completion of the 2012 Miracle Green Home to benefit the MIX 101.5 Radiothon for Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center. Part of the profit from the sale of this 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom estate will go towards Homes By Dickerson’s pledge to raise over $100,000 for the Radiothon. This lovely High Performance Certified Green Home, located in the North Raleigh neighborhood of George’s Grant, will be open to the public during the Wake County Parade of Homes Oct. 1-2, 7-9 and 14-16 from 12 pm – 5 pm.

Homes By Dickerson believes deeply in giving back to the community. The Miracle Green Home partnership holds great personal meaning to company president Linwood Strickland, whose infant son was airlifted to Duke after a car crash over twenty years ago.  When Strickland heard about the Miracle Home project he immediately signed on to build the 2012 Home and pledged to raise $100,000 for the Radiothon.  Since announcing that goal at the end of May Homes By Dickerson has raised $102,000 and will continue its fundraising efforts up to the Radiothon in February.

“Duke may have saved my son’s life, and I’m committed to repaying that priceless gift by raising as much money as we can for them.  Partnering with the Duke Children’s Hospital Miracle Green Home project was natural for us,” said Strickland.  “We are grateful to the donors who have already helped us surpass our initial goal, and we are eager to keep up that momentum and keep raising that number.”

“The excitement that each of the Miracle Home builders has exhibited has been truly inspiring,” said Robyn Soffera, director of annual programs for Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center.  “Homes by Dickerson is doing an amazing job of securing involvement for the 2012 Miracle Home.  We are so appreciative of the outpouring of support.  We can hardly wait to see the finished home and have the Homes by Dickerson team visit us at the MIX 101.5 Radiothon for Duke Children’s in February.”

To support Homes By Dickerson’s fundraising, donors can make a cash donation to Duke Children’s Hospital with “Miracle Green Home” in the memo line; click here to complete a pledge form and return it to the office; or click here to go to the MIX 101.5 Radiothon for Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center online secure donation site and write in the comments that it’s for the Miracle Green Home.
