The excitement is definitely building at Homes by Dickerson as we prepare for 10 homes on the 2015 Parade Tour and a majority of that excitement is stemming from our Design Team as they see their visions come to life!

For the next five weeks leading up to the big reveal, we will bring you a sneak peek of each of our Parade homes from the perspective of its designer. What were they inspired by? What new trends and colors are they implementing into these homes?

In this first volume of “It is all about the DESIGN,” we are taking a look at The Fairfield Parade Home in Sunset Bluffs, Fuquay Varina. Designed by our very own Rachel Bailey, this plan evokes a warm and inviting farmhouse feel which is a consistent theme throughout the home. Bailey has updated the traditional farmhouse style with some fun, modern twists such as mason jar pendant lights above the island and larger subway tiles for the kitchen backsplash. Her chosen color palette of warm, gray tones is evident in the combination of satin nickel and chrome finishes as well as the gray wash hardwood floors found throughout the common areas. This color scheme is particularly complementary to the overall atmosphere of this bright, open and spacious plan which encourages both formal entertaining and quiet nights at home.
