Cheers to 100! Let’s keep on going!

We all stopped on Thursday morning to celebrate hitting 100 sales year to date in 2012.  What better way to celebrate than with cake!  This was a first milestone in our companies history and one that has been achieved by a lot of hard work from everyone on our team and one that should not be taken lightly.  We cherish each and every family worked with and home sold.  We look forward to two more months in the year to see if we can double our sales from 2011.

Thank you to all of our buyers, homeowners and REALTORs that we work with to make this possible.  We value the partnership in the creation of the homes that we build.  We never seem to build the same home twice and you can see from our online galleries and virtual tours that our homes take on the personal touches of our buyers.   All of our homes are built with high performance green features and the finishes selected are between the buyers and our design coordinators.   Our new design center that opened in March of this year has certainly attributed to our success as well and has been a great tool.  Having more space to be able to work within and the ability to demonstrate so much of what we can put into the homes creates a much smoothier process and visualization for our buyers.

So Cheers!  We look forward to building and selling many more great homes this year and for years to come!

#12 | Homes by Dickerson on list of Top Triangle Residential Builders

#12 | Homes by Dickerson on list of Top Triangle Residential Builders

We were excited to see that Homes by Dickerson ranked #12 on the list of Top Triangle Residential Builders, ranked by the Triangle Business Journal.   This ranking was by the dollar volume of Triangle new home contracts closed in 2011.  Homes by Dickerson came in at #13 the year prior and we are anticipate a jump to a higher ranking once this year wraps up.

Homes by Dickerson has been able to double the size of our business over the last couple of years, which is a huge achievement considering the downturn of the economy.   We are thankful to our many clients and buyers who saw the quality in our homes and wanted to work and build with us.  Our dedicated team of professionals works hard to make every sale possible and meet the needs and lifestyle of the buyers we work with.  We make sure to position ourselves in the best communities in desirable locations with features that customers are looking for.  We are always looking for better ways to build our homes and in 2009 made a company wide commitment to begin building all of our homes green certified with both Energy Star and NAHB Green Certifications.   In spring of this year we opened our brand new design center and showroom to enhance our customer experience and accomodate our growing company.

Homes by Dickerson is currently building high performance green certified new homes in Heritage Wake Forest, Stonehenge Park, George’s Grant, the Hampton’s at Umstead, Copperleaf, Carrie’s Reach, and Briar Chapel in Chapel Hill.  HBD has also launched a Build on Your Own Lot program to fit your needs if one of our locations does not.  For more information on our homes and communities, visit www.HomesbyDickerson.com or email info@homesbydickerson.com or call 919-847-4447

Spring New Home Tour this weekend

Spring New Home Tour this weekend

It’s time to get out and tour some beautiful new homes in the Triangle! Lawn’s are greening up, flowers are blooming and pollen is in the air! This weekend marks the kick off of Spring and the Spring New Home Tour on March 24th and 25th.  Homes by Dickeron will have 3 homes on the tour that will be open each day from 12pm to 5pm and several of our Project Managers will be on hand to answer your questions on our new high performance green home.

In Heritage in Wake Forest, we will have the Meadowsweet and the Palmer on Parade. Both homes feature a first floor master.  The Meadowsweet is in Heritage Chase and has great access to the Heritage greenway trails and fishing pond.  The Palmer is a brand new floorplan and is on the Heritage golf course in Heritage Overlook.

In Stonehenge Park in North Raleigh, we will have the Arramore III, which is an enhanced and modified version of the original Arramore, but now offers and office nook and an open finished 3rd floor off of the finished bonus room.  This has been a very popular feature.  The kitchen and family room space on all of these homes are amazing!

There is a Spring New Home Tour book that showcases all 89 homes on tour in the Triangle as well as an mobile App that can be used to navigate the homes on tour.

Happy Touring!

Future is Looking Bright, Homes Sales are up 35% in the Triangle

Future is Looking Bright, Homes Sales are up 35% in the Triangle

Sales are up in the Triangle and people are buying and selling! New home permits are up in Wake County and the area continues to be one of the top places to live in the country! We are thankful that we live and work in such an incredible place that has so much to offer from jobs, schools, recreation, shopping, arts and more!

The News & Observer printed an article this morning showing that the Triangle had its strongest sales jump in four years in February and home sales are up 35% over February 2011! That is a huge increase.  At Homes by Dickerson we have certainly felt the surge of activity and are loving it!  We had a record breaking sales month in February since our company began in 1975.  We sold 14 new homes across our communities with an average sales price of $488,000.  (The average sales price of homes sold in February in the Triangle is $216,600).  Our sales were a mix of our available inventory and some brand new custom crafted homes for our clients.  It is an exciting time and we love what we do.  Homes by Dickerson has also moved into our brand new design center and office and are ready to handle the activity.  We look forward to working with you on designing your new home!
